list in their particular category. And
the ones with the worst rankings?
Well, they'll sink like rocks.
Quotes often appear in more than one of our categories, plus the author's page. You'll notice that some will hold a different ranking in each of those categories. That's because when you rate a quote (1 through 5, 5 being the biggest compliment), that rating affects its placement only within the category in which you've rated it.
You can rate every quote in a category, or the same quote in multiple categories. Heck, you can even rate every quote on the entire site. But please, we ask that you only rate each quote once within a 24 hour period (and our system will back us up).
